Gravity golf game: free to play in your browser
Starskip is a gravity golf game you play free in your browser. Pull a star back, let go, and watch it swing around planets towards a ring somewhere across the system. Sink it in as few shots as you can.
It’s a one-more-go game. Each attempt takes about four seconds.
How to play
- Drag back from the star and let go to fire it
- Planets pull on it, so the shot that looks wrong is often the right one
- Miss and you get another go. The star comes back to where it started
- Sink it under the target and you’ve properly beaten the course
The skill is learning to aim at the curve rather than at the hole.
A new course every day
There’s a course of the day that’s the same for everyone in the world, so you and a friend on the other side of the planet get the same puzzle and the same target. Beside it are endless new courses whenever you want more.
Every course can be finished. The game proves it can sink each one before it ever shows it to you, so you’re never quietly stuck on something impossible — which is what spoils a lot of games that make their own levels.
The target isn’t a guess either. It’s worked out from how much room the course actually gives you, so a target of 2 really is tight and a target of 5 really is generous.
Share the shot
Land a good one and you get a star chart — your misses in faint lines, the shot that went in picked out in gold — with a dare written on it. The link beside it rebuilds your exact course on a friend’s device, with your score to beat.
Is it free?
Yes. Nothing to buy, nothing to unlock, no sign-up, no chat. Progress saves in your browser.
